This Privacy Policy describes the current Android implementation of GPS Map Camera ("we", "our", or the "App"). The App does not require an account and does not operate an application server for storing your photos or location history.
With your permission, the App accesses approximate or precise device location to display location information and stamp coordinates and address information onto photos. You may also enter custom coordinates or an address manually.
The App uses Android's system geocoding service to convert coordinates into a human-readable address. The App does not directly send location data to an App-operated server. Depending on the device and the Android provider, the system geocoder may process a request through a third-party service.
The App uses the camera to capture photos. When you select an image with Android's photo picker, the App reads that selected image to apply the location and date stamp. Photos are processed locally and an App-managed copy is stored in the App's private external-files directory. If enabled, another copy may be exported to the device gallery.
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
This local App data is not uploaded to an App-operated server. Third-party processing and Android system backup are described below.
When you choose Share or Open in Gallery, Android grants the selected application temporary read access to the selected image. The receiving application, cloud service, or recipient may copy, retain, or further process the image under its own policies. We cannot control those copies.
The App uses third-party services. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies and applicable settings:
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Where required, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) obtains and manages advertising consent. The App requests ads only when the current Google consent state allows it.
Google UMP advertising consent is separate from the App's Usage Analytics and Crash Diagnostics choices. UMP choices do not enable Firebase Analytics. Firebase Analytics is enabled only when you enable Usage Analytics in the App's consent settings.
AdMob may process device or advertising identifiers, app and device information, IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, frequency-capping data, and aggregated reporting data. Personalized, non-personalized, or limited ad behavior depends on Google's policies, the user's choices, the user's region, and the AdMob configuration. Non-personalized ads may still use identifiers for frequency capping and aggregated reporting.
Firebase Analytics is disabled by default in the App and is enabled only when the user enables Usage Analytics in the App's consent dialog. When enabled, Firebase may process automatically collected app and device information and pseudonymous installation identifiers.
The App may send usage events such as permission results, camera usage, photo capture and save outcomes, gallery interactions, sharing actions, saved-photo opening, advertising eligibility, and the in-app review flow. The App does not intentionally include GPS coordinates, photo contents, addresses, or file paths in these custom event parameters.
Firebase Crashlytics is disabled by default in the App and is enabled only when the user enables Crash Diagnostics. When enabled, crash reports may include stack traces, app state, device model, operating system information, Crashlytics installation identifiers, and diagnostic camera state such as entry source, task or process identifiers, camera mode, and camera binding state.
The App does not intentionally include GPS coordinates, photo contents, addresses, or photo file paths in its Crashlytics logs. When Crash Diagnostics is disabled, the change may be fully applied on the next App launch in accordance with Crashlytics SDK behavior.
For processing performed by the App itself, the data controller is Hakan Serindik, an individual developer operating under the name hknsoft / GPS Map Camera. You can contact us at [email protected]. The App operator does not operate an application server for storing your photos or location history.
Core on-device data processing is necessary to provide the features requested by the user. Optional Usage Analytics and Crash Diagnostics are processed only with the user's consent, which can be withdrawn at any time in App Settings.
Google and other service providers may process data directly on behalf of their services or under their own applicable policies and legal roles. Their processing, retention, and privacy choices are described in the links in Section 2 and in the applicable service settings.
We do not sell your photos or location data. Data may be processed by Google and other service providers through AdMob, Firebase, Google Play Services, Android system services, or an application that you deliberately choose to receive a shared photo. These providers may process data in countries outside your country under their own privacy policies and applicable safeguards.
Google services may process data internationally under Google's applicable data protection terms and recognized transfer mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses or adequacy frameworks where applicable.
The App disables Android app backup for its App-managed data. The App therefore does not configure Android Auto Backup to automatically back up or restore App preferences, the local Room database, or App-managed photo files.
This does not control copies exported to the public device gallery, shared with another application, or handled by Android device-to-device transfer behavior, which may vary by device manufacturer and Android version. The App operator does not operate backup storage or receive a backup of this data. To reduce the risk of losing App-managed photos when changing devices or uninstalling the App, use Save to Gallery or export your photos before the change.
App-managed local data remains on the device until you delete it, clear it through the relevant App feature, or uninstall the App. The App currently supports deletion of individual App-managed saved photos and clearing custom location data. Deleting an App-managed photo does not necessarily delete a copy previously exported to the public device gallery, shared with another application, included in a previous Android backup or device transfer, or retained by a recipient.
Temporary files created for sharing may remain in the App cache until Android removes them. Data processed by Google services is retained according to the applicable Google, Firebase, AdMob, and UMP policies and settings.
The App stores its App-managed data in Android application storage and uses Android's FileProvider for temporary photo sharing. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
The App does not require an account or intentionally request a child's name, email address, phone number, or other direct contact information. We do not knowingly collect such information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review the request.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent for applicable processing. To submit a privacy request, contact [email protected]. Requests concerning data held directly by Google may also need to be submitted through the relevant Google service or policy process. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last Updated date will be changed when the policy is revised. We will provide any additional notice required by applicable law for material changes or changes that require renewed consent.
